About the Artist
KENNETH l KEITH IAPS/MC
Ken Keith IAPS/MCis an award winning artist whose summers are spent in the Midwest and winters in the Southwest. Those locations plus frequent traveling provide references for his work.
He was born and raised on a farm in Southwest Iowa and went on to receive a BFA from Drake University, a BA in Architecture from Iowa State University and attained his National Council of Architectural Registration . He taught art in the public schools briefly but spent the bulk of his working career as an architect with projects across the Midwest.
In 2019 he began painting seriously and used Covid quarantine time to concentrate on honing his skills. He started entering competitive shows and has been juried into many shows across the United States, Canada and Europe. He has won awards in State, National and International Shows including Best of Show, 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, People's Choice Award, Sponsors Awards and recognition in Plein-air and Bold Brush competitions. His work is held in private and corporate collections.
He is a Signature member of Arizona Pastel Artists Association and Associate Member of Pastel Society of America, American Pastel Society, Pastel Guild of Europe, Pastel Society of the West Coast, Midwest Pastel Society and Red Rock Pastel Society.
